Dr. Melanie Mihlstin, M.D.

Dr. Mihlstin is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist. A native Michigander she was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and raised in Lapeer, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. She completed medical school at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, an internship at Sinai Grace Hospital, and her ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute all in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Mihlstin has been serving the community of Saginaw and surrounding areas since 2019. She is very passionate about her community, preserving vision and focusing on providing the highest quality of care for her patients. Her exceptional training and extensive experience have made her a highly skilled surgeon, specializing in the latest techniques in cataract surgery, advanced technology lenses, eyelid corrective procedures, and micro-invasive glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Mihlstin is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Anterior Segment and Cataract Refractive Surgery, the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, the Young Professionals Network at the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce, and the Saginaw County Medical Society.

In her free time, Dr. Mihlstin enjoys spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, raising her four children (Abigail, Barrett, Maverick, and Amelia) and sharing a passion for aviation with her husband.

Emily is Mivision's practice manager. She brings extensive experience in ophthalmology to MiVision having previously managed an ophthalmology clinic. She is a great leader and dedicated to ensuring a great patient experience.

When lucky enough to not be at work, Emily enjoys being a corn hole champion and spending time with her husband and their beautiful daughter Avery.

Katie H.

Katie brings over 20 years of experience in the ophthalmology field. Her smile is contagious.

Katie understands the inner workings of our clinic. She has been instrumental in our efforts to train additional employees and is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA).

When Katie is not doing her best to help our doctor devote her time to caring for our patients, she also assists with inventory management and ophthalmic testing.

When lucky enough to not be at work, Katie enjoys boating and spending time with her husband and their beautiful daughter Lilly (who recently started driving).

Kayleigh B.

Kayleigh is new to the ophthalmology field and is MiVision's main technician. Nevertheless, her tireless work ethic and passion for patient care make her appear more seasoned and a valuable asset to our team.

She is currently working on obtaining her Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) and may someday leave our team to pursue medical school.

When lucky enough to not be at work, Kayleigh enjoys reading, puzzles and spending time boating with her family.
